glovebox wont open

ok, wee problem with glovebox, it wont open at all... key turns in lock etc, but when you pull the handle its not poppin the catch, have tried wigglin box etc incase its jus stuck but to no avail... anyone any ideas? lol

The mechanism is probably failed.  Its a very flimsey, crappy setup (take it apart, you'll see what I mean).

Catch (no pun intended!) 22 though, you need to open glovebox to remove it, and you need to remove glovebox to be able to get to catch mech...

thought that mighta been the case!... similar set up to the carlton? as i remember that was crap lol.. ok, so who knows the easiest way to remove it without a crowbar?  ;D

Might be able to get screwdriver etc in to depress the catches  :-/

managed to get it... pulled it to one side an clip popped, pulled other way for other side - opened lol now jus to sort a new one.. cheers! :)

Vectra Elite Estate doing good post-Omega service but still not as nice to sit in.

One last Omega on the drive, one Corsa on the lawn...maybe they'll go to a good home before too long!
