Changing PAS pump V6
« on: 14 November 2007, 09:19:06 »

Hi

Please can anyone give me some info on changing the PAS pump on a V6 model - prefacelift.

I have to do one very soon, and thinking about it, i've never done one before on a "complete" engine - only on one that has been stripped bare!

Looking in my engine, I can see that one of the bolts looks almost impossible to get to.

Can anyone advise on the procedure?

cheers

take off the belt and pulley, remove the 4 bolts which hold on the sai pipe bracket on 2 long 2 short, undo the pipe union on the pump and take the pipe off the bottom of the reservoir, the pump will then come straight out
none of them are difficult to get to unless its a really early car when the long bolts come through from the back of the pump which are a real pain
