ignition problem

Hi All,
Just jumped in the car this morning and the car unlocks ok with the fob. Once inside i  put the key in the ignition and it just will not turn at all.
Any ideas before i do a basil fawlty on it.

Is the steering wheel lock on ?


jiggle the wheel as you turn the key

The steering lock was not on .I have tried to turn whilst moving the wheel but the key will just not turn.

Update :- Brother in law came round and wiggled key and it freed itself. Panic over   :)

Get some lubricant spray in it.....and remember that WD40 is NOT a good lubricant!
