Safe Rear end jacking locations
« on: 06 February 2008, 12:56:12 »

Where is the best place to lift the rear end with a trolley jack, are there strengthened areas around the wheel change jacking points or should I try somewhere else.
May seem a dorky question but would rather be safe than sorry!

The jacking points are next to the wheels on the side trim.  You should see a sort of oval cut out in the trim - if you look under there you should see the jacking points.  If you are doing a big job and are lying under the car you need to use axle stands.

Thanks Guys,
Wasn't sure if the whee changing areas would be strong enough.
What could you be thinking of Wakey!
Cheers
