NSF electric window problem
« on: 12 February 2008, 20:20:47 »

My 1995 2.5TD auto has just recently developed a problem with the NSF window control. It certainly was alright but now it won't stop halfway or almost anywhere except full up or full down although it is actually still ok for the bottom 2". I am not sure if there is some sensor switch on the motor/winder mechanism or is it due to a control relay?

If it is a control relay then whereabouts can I find it?
Cheers

ave you tried resetting the windows memory, operate the window untill fully up and hold the button for 10 sec. operate the button untill fully down then hold the button for 10 sec. this should reset the memory. :y

You may be on to something there in that the battery failed a week or so back and hence a new one fitted. So would have been unpowered for several minutes.

BUT I have just tried your suggestion and it hasn't made any difference. Also have to say the OSF window is behaving normally...
Cheers

Might be able to. Just depends if they have one (an Omega)..

But can probably get the switch out and try it on a testmeter..... but (speaking as a retired electronics engineer) it doesn't seem to be acting how a duff switch would do....??
