Sounds like a good idea mate....I'm willing to try anything...
Might see if I can get some of that dye actually...

Meanwhile I'm trying to get my Chevette roadworthy to use while I sort the Omega....

The only other thing in that area (rear of engine) that I remember is the coolant bridge, that has a few joints/seals - and I think the washers are a tad fancy - sort of metal+rubber things - could be from there, but thats a plenum off job

I did replace them...along with new bolts (I broke one!) .....cost around £6 just for the 2 washers and £5 for the 2 bolts

Did you use genuine Vx Doughty washers or pattern ones ?? Just read in another thread that pattern ones leak ??

I think I need to either use some of that dye or wipe clean as you said and run engine to see if leak becomes apparent....
