Crank Sensor
« on: 23 February 2008, 18:36:12 »

Well hello ladies n gents... been a very long time since I was last here due to working hard and a nice reliable Omega, wellreliable until this evening  :'( driving along to work around the M25 at around 70mph I heard a disheartening 'pop' and the engine stalled - very scary considering I was in fast lane with no power brakes or steering  ::)
Anyway I made it to hard shoulder and heldmy breath whilst I turned the key to get engine started fearing timing belt had gone, but nope, engine light constantly on and engine turning but not firing so whipped out paperclip and the most feared number was read out... 19.
Phoned the AA and waited and waited for 1 hour, when they arrived I stayed quiet about the 19 code in the hope by miracle they would have a spare on board  ;D but the bloody car started first turn of the key for him  >:( I got to work in the end with the car, but my localvaux stealer wont be open for parts tomorrow (sunday) and I need to get a new sensor - anyone got ideas of somewhere to get one and aprox price as Im stuffed without my car >:(

Cheers in advance - oh and site looks better since I was last here, someone has been working hard  :y
