Should it be noticable when the multiram kicks in?

Around 3.7k-4k, i get a noticable increase in power.  On the power run that was done when I had the LPG system sorted, there is a slight dip in the power graph before it goes onward and upward.

In fact the dip is worse when run on LPG - which I presume is because the vapouriser is vacuum driven and is at this moment not getting full vacuum.

Wondering if the multi-ram is working correctly. Power is good at max revs but peak torque is only 192lbs/ft at 3,730rpm

Not too sure about everyone elses cars, but when my multi-rams kick in, the car turns from sounding like a sunday driving grandad car to pure 'devile climbing out of the exhaust' and the car really pulls, almost to the point that in gears 1-4 steering is very difficult due to the car leaning to the rear and making the front end light at high revs. (mines manual so dont know about auto's)

Sounds like the multirams may not be working. They help increase torque at low revs by lengthening the intake to each bank at low RPM.

I wouldn't say you feel more power when they kick in, just a smooth increase in power at higher RPM. There's a change in engine note though IME. The surge you are feeling is probably because the engine is a bit flat at lower revs.

turn on your engine, and rev the nuts off it very very quickly and you should see the front multi-ram vacuum plunger move, this is quicker than you rev it so keep an eye out, and incidently, on my car it only seems to operate the multi-rams when the engine temp is normal (around 90-95) otherwise nothing multi-ram wise happens.... anyone elses like this? I feel like I have some sort of ex plod experiment.

All Vacuum pipes seem in order.

When I pulled a pipe off one of the solenoids I had a release of vacuum.

Maybe it could be the solenoids or the valves themselves.

If multirams are working could just be a flat spot in the fuelling if it's worse on LPG. Maybe it needs a tweak. ECU will turn on the EML if there's a problem with the electrical connection to the solenoids. They can still fail though. It's try the throttle blip test and see if you can see them move. They can be exercised with a Tech 2 if you're anywhere MarkDTM or TheBoy.

LPG and petrol are neck and neck on the power curve, just more off a pronounced flat spot on LPG when the multi-ram kicks in.

LPG system has been remapped.

I'll try the throttle blip test.
