Paperclip Test
« on: 03 April 2008, 19:54:15 »

Hi there folks’
Just done the paperclip test as described on the maintenance guide by TB, and it did not flash at all. Does this mean that there are no stored codes or should it flash something to signify that it has mad a check? It’s just that it has stalled a couple of times lately. I changed the cam and crank sensor last year. and cleaned out the ICV.

Thanks
Lyn

Does the engine management light come on at all? (should come on with ignition). COuld be that someone has removed the bulb or it has blown.

Yes the light is on with ignition on, and goes out when the engine starts. Is this correct?

4 digit code cars do not have a 'start or sequence' code, so no flashing if no faults :)
