« on: 04 April 2008, 22:03:04 »

i have had a tracking problem for the last year.

my car has been traked 4 times in the last 12 months and scrubed of 6 front tyres and 2 rear

is there any way i can stop the tracking from going out i have changed both front wishbones and anti roll bar track rods

could i be missing something else
i am now about to change the track rods on the front as they have been adjusted so many times the center piece is collapsing in on its self >:(

did you use a super tracker, cheking cambers and all four wheels, aswell as checking steering linkages etc?

Have it checked PROPERLY by an Expert .... not just tracking but full set up.

Contact "Wheels In Motion" - mention the OOF and you'll get a discount .. :)

He's pretty busy as he's moving premises.. but I'm sure he'll give you good advice .. :)

Do you know the cars History, not been the wrong side of a few hedges has it :(.

Seems to me that if you've had all that checked and it's coming up ok then maybe the cars bent :o.

The car requires full geometry checked, not just front wheel or 4 wheel alignment done....  The places that do that properly are, to be honest, relatively few and far between....

For example, KwikFit, to my knowledge, only has one such premises in Scotland.  Given the size of the firm (not that I condone or recommend their use) that will give an approximation, perhaps, as to how many places have the full and proper kit.....
