Hi,

Thanks for the nudge, could have lost a fortune had I bet, a 4 month old battery, still it has a 4 year guarantee. Quite embarrasing and a lot of flack.

Next prob  how do you clear down the stored codes on the ecu ?

Engine is purring and what a great engine to work on really enjoyed it.

Kind Regards

Glad to help ... sometimes I even get it right !!!

Most "stored" non-active codes ( the EML light being out) will clear after 20 or so good starts.

Active codes (EML on) clear as soon as the fault is fixed and not before !!

There are exceptions .... air bag warnings need resetting by tech2 is the one that comes to mind ...

So if the EML light is now out .. just run the car for a while and the stored codes will dissapear .. :)

The immbolisier ones (14x) will stay until cleared. telltale one (135) will stay in the ecu but diappear from flashcode iirc. Can't remember what 33 and 129 (egr?) are off top of my head (indeed the 135 I may have guessed wrong), so not sure about those.

Fortunately, unlike some people I could mention, I can't remember all the codes off the top of my head ;D

Hi TB,

Could they arise because of a problem with the dead battery,
I have checked your code meanings. They would all seem to fit in with a dead battery. i.e. low voltage imobaliser, egr feedback low, egr low volt.
