you wont be able to see it... follow your fingers down the back and feel where the ignition leads plug in...thats your dispack.

Now once you find it from touch, remove the leads and now try to unbolt the dispack - 4 bolts ( again by feel) just pray the hardest one to get at hasnt corroded and stuck on..various extensions and torx / sockets requried deprending on how frlexible your hands are.

Its tough but do able...ive done 5 now and every time i wonder how i managed it the last time  ;D

For ease of access I remove the plenum and inlet manifold, it makes it so much easier

if your looking at the engine from the front of the car its behind the right cyilinder head.

I found it much much easier to access the 2 bolts closest to the passenger wheel from under the car, the other 2 i got from above without removing the inlet. the most difficult part of th job i found was getting the old dis out! kept dropping the bugger and having to go under the car to move it back up  ::)

Thanks all, the link was useful but it refers to a non 2.5 which is easier i have been told.

I'm frightened to take plet and inlet off as i might not get them back on as i'm very new to this.

not even sure if i took the leads off i would get them on in the right order lol

by the way where is ecu unit?
