atf, quickie advice

ive got the sumps off, will much fluid come out when i release the filter form the gearbox, ive only lost about 4litres so far.

Theoretically, from some calculations I think it's only possible to change about 88% of the fluid but this is good enough

well all done, about 5litres drained into the canister and i put about 6 litres in when i finished, nice clean up and no leaks after its had a good run. that nut was an absolute tinker to get off. new one fitted not as tight.

nice little contraction i made, down the side of the engine and into filler hole, tube was from fish shop for 2 quid.


i did find that using a cordless impact it made it much quicker and easier to get everything off than a rachet. impact back up and torque settings after.  :y :y

very slow process refilling fluid. had to have a leak 3 times, 2 cans of beer did that. think its an age thing now. lethal when i go the pub and walk home.   :) :)

It`s then you discover how fast 'you wish you could run'....how tricky house-keys can be to get out of a pocket in a hurry and how fiddly a zip can be to undo!  ;D

yes i did need toilet couple of times. i bought some industrial wipes from screwfix, good for cleaning sump too. cleans grease off in seconds. ;) ;)
i did get a bit on me when i unbolted the filter.
