baffle rattle

the baffles in my centre boxes have an irritating rattle but the boxes are in good nick.i dont suppose there are any known tricks to stop the rattle ?.

Are you sure its the baffles and not the heat sheilds up by the cats??

yep,the heat shields were rattling ,now ive cured that i can hear the baffles rattling.sounds like a skeleton tap dancing.

When I had rattles (on a Senator) of that type it was the cat and the Vx dealer stated at the time that if I left it too long the baffles could break away and block the exhaust system causing pressure build up in the engine which would not be good :'(.

I took his word for it at the time (being flush with money at the time) and have always wondered if that was really true ever since! :-/ :-/ :y
