track rods set up
« on: 25 June 2012, 08:41:55 »

I have to replace both sides inner and outer. are there a standard number of turns each end to set up or do I have to unscrew old ones and count the turns. I only ask because I know that the old ones will probably be seiezed and I can't be bothered to unseize them from middle bar. hope this makes sence cheers Ian

Iam probably talking total rubbish here but i thought you could just turn in/out the new ones until there are the same length as the old ones.. Iam sure somebody will put me right on this one.

Counting the turns is a good start, but different manufacturers castings are never identical. You should set them roughly, (if you measure with string before removing the old ones, you should be able to replicate near enough), ideally followed by a Geo-set-up of course.
