towing wiring connector
« on: 10 June 2008, 11:01:59 »

Hi there,
Can any Omega owners out there tell me if they have ever connected into the small black and purple connector in the boot behind the plastic cover panel (gm part nozm12 -10).
I wondered if there was a company that sold the female part of this connector. I would assume that a Vauxhall dealer would want to sell me the connector and cable as one, or am I mistaken.
On aprevious Omega I had someone had soldered the wires into the back of the plug (10 altogether) It worked fine , but I wanted to fit the correct plug if possible.
Many thanks

Have a good search in the electrical and ICE section. It has been discussed at length and I believe someone found a part number for the mating connector. Be aware that you will need to install a brake light failure sensor (or bridge its' socket with a wire link) to get the brake light feed to work and you should fit either an audible indicator warning or add the bulb to the dash and get a 4 wire indicator relay.
