Steering locks

As a roadside techy we come across a lot of Omegas with the steering locks stuck on are there any tricks to get em off they drive us nuts

When you say stuck on do you mean the key wont turn in the ignition?

If that is the case then its normally due to a worn key, but normally applying some penetrating fluid (not WD40 as thats not a penetrating fluid!) and wiggling the key is enough to get the key to turn.

Its once this is done the customer will now be able to start and drive the car but, should get the lock assembly replaced (really easy to remove, see the maintenance guide area) or 'refurb' the lock barrel.

When wiggling the key, also try easing it out of the lock a few mm....
