Lumpy when cold
« on: 24 July 2008, 16:29:02 »

When started from cold engine runs lumpy and revs fluctuate between 600-800 ish. This problem goes as soon as temperature is up and then ticks over steady.I have cleaned out the breather system fairly recentley and have also cleaned and oiled the idlew control valve.Brand new plugs and leads fitted 2k ago so doudt  the usual problems.Any pointers please.

If memory serves .. there are 2 temperature sensors .. one for the gauge, the other for the ECU.. the gauge one is a single pin type, the ECU a double pin type, at the rear of the cylinder block under the DIS if I recall correctly.

It may well be that the gauge one is fine, but the ECU one is loose/disconnected and not giving the correct info to the ECU
