Going to change the Blower Motor on SWMBOs Elite Estate tomorrow.
Anyone done this before? Looks straightforward any pitfalls?  Is there a HowTo?

no its a rather nitemare mate !   glovebox out and feel your way round the screws !! have fun !!

Ive done this before  

Rough order of doing.....

Remove side panel
Remove air vent
Loosen airbag cover (iirc you have to do this to get to glovebox screws)
Remove glovebox
Remove airvent pipe
Undo 6miles of sticky tape holding wiring loom onto a plastic tray
Remove the plastic tray
Remove fan

 

Fairly easy   ........good luck with refitting the airvent pipe....pita

Only took me 6 hours start to finish

Thanx for that info - had a look this afternoon.  
Removed side panel and air vent
Removed undertray - mine was held on with cable ties!
Loosened airbag cover - removed 4 screws on front of glovebox and three at left hand side.  Removed glovebox.
Remove air vent pipe (blue).  

At that point went to loosen 3 x torx screws holding blower on and noticed they were all loose!  In fact one of them fell out as i put torx driver on.
Noticed miles of black sticky tape holding wiring loom onto a plastic tray and thought (chickening out and running out of time) - wonder if all the noise from blower is because it is loose?  

So tightened up the three screws holding the blower and put it all back together to try it out.

Guess wot?  Its still as bl**dy noisy.

2 hours wasted - no not fully as guess once three screws undone and all the f*ing tape cut through its a piece of p*ss to get out.  Getting the other one back in is probably another matter.

Will have another go and allow a few more hours next time.

That'll be because of its lost a balance weight of one of the vanes of the fan and its vibrating.....probably why the screws became loose.

You're probably right - was ok then suddenly became very noisy.
