Diags > Year > Omega > Engine > Y22XE

Confirm > Comfirm.

At Menu, Programming > Program Variant

Modify, highlight Cruise Control (that will say Not Present) and press enter.

Tech2 will error at this point.

Plug Tech2 into TIS PC, and click Security Access, and follow steps to get Level 2 and Level 3 authorisation.

Plug back into car, repaet all steps above, (now when enter pressed, it will say Cruise Control Present), then press Program.

Once programmed, go to Live Data, and ensure you can see both brake switches activate, clutch switch activate (if applicable), and all 3 cruise buttons press.

I bet they aren't. When I was looking to do it on my car (53reg 2.2 CD) I called in 3 dealers, all said not possible! I even printed a thread and showed it to one, they said it might be possible but you could damage the ecu and we won't take any responsibillities. They were also looking to charge for an hour not half.

There are 2 people here with tech2 who could do it for you at a fraction of price plus they know what they're doing. I got my stalk from http://www.leavalleymotors.co.uk for £20.

Mark enabled it for me at a meet. As you're in Kent, there's another meet usually every month or couple of months in Blue Water. It's organized by vvoc.com. I think the tech2 guy there is called Mark too (check their website).

I didnt think so either .... of course he helpfully suggested taking the dash out to check the " bulb " , which i declined as i would imagine that would have cost a lot for nothing  ;D

Others have said it BUT, if he had read the manual or been at least a bit familiar with meega and cruise control he would have know it!  I guess it he had taken the dash out to find a non existant bulb he really couldn't have charged you.  At least it works that's what counts in the end.  Do make a mental note not to trust anything that dealer tells you...
