Swapping infra red central locking for RF
« on: 11 August 2008, 20:05:15 »

I bought another  omega to reaplce the one that was written off by my son the other week.  The new car is slightly older than my previous one and as such the remote central locking is of the Infra red type which i'm finding a bit pants.

The insurance company are delivering the written off car back to me tomorrow and that has RF central locking.

Is there any way of swapping these over so i can have the RF central locking instead of the crappy infra red?

The IR also controls the immobiliser (easily bypassed though).

Hmm, you'd need to check Haynes for wiring differences.
