V6 Multi-Ram Question
« on: 24 August 2008, 17:06:28 »

Have been having a few problems with poor running and bad fuel economy with my mv6 had a look under the bonnet and have noticed a multiram vacuum lead is broken and so has the ECU plug part of it

its the one on the front it opens a flap up to make both intakes one! the connector that the lead plugs into a little solonoid with an ECU plug and another vacuum plug its made by EATON i replaced it with one off a 2.5 at a scrappie same p/n so assume its the same

what does it do? and is it the reason why my mig does 15mpg!

It adjusts the inlet length, to flatten the torque curve

It increases low down torque quite considerably, this will help cruising mpg
