1999 CD 2.0i Brakes
« on: 07 September 2008, 22:52:44 »

Hi guys and gals. This is my first post so just wanted to say hi before my question :)

I've just bought a Omega  CD 2.0i AUTO on a 1999 plate and very pleased with it. it's very low milage for the age and drives very nicely. I wanted to replace the brake pads and disc's and was wondering.

1) what size disc are on these as standard.
2) i wanted slightly uprated disc/pads so any recommendations?

Cheers

Dave

Why do you feel the need to upgrade the brake spec. Use genuine VX discs and pads. They do the job well enough :-/

GM ones are excellent for standard use, i suspect you have pattern ones fitted.

Got GM on my 2.2, replaced the pattern ones, huge difference!

The discs for all but the earliest cars both 2.0 & V6 are the same. You already have upgraded to 3.0 discs.  :y
