Leaking Diff
« on: 10 September 2008, 16:24:16 »

My diff has oil dripping off it - it seems on a first inspection that it could be coming from where the prop from the autobox goes into the diff.

Any ideas if there's a seal etc that can be changed? :y

Also, what oil do these diff's use?

You should have gone to Newent James.. :-X ;)

Diff pinion seal I think it is.  But I would check the level first as it may look worse than it is.

Not sure I fancy scrabbling under a car on a wet campsite - I'll wait till it's dry :y

Lol, need to get the overalls out and air them as they are stinking the garage out......fortunately the last of it came out of my hair on Tuesday!

I also have a soldering iron here for you (and one for TB)  :y
Not to bad a job, 1.5 hours on a camp site and can be done without to many special tools (30mm deep socket is the only one)
