Engine oil level message

I've started getting an ENGINE OIL LEVEL message seemingly at random on the MID,  engine oil level is fine as i've checked it several times so i'm presuming a sensor somewhere is playing up.  It also comes up with what looks like ENGINE OIL LEAK although it's hard to tell as several of the pixels in the display are dead.

Not a major problem but i'd like to get it sorted all the same so where do I start to look?

It probabley is saying "Oil Lack"
