snag whilst trying to remove my radiator.
« on: 18 September 2008, 21:16:03 »

I'm trying to remove my radiator (2.5 V6 with A/C and auto gearbox).
Having disconnected all pipes etc I am able to lift the radiator about 6 inches before the right hand side (looking from the front) snags on a thick cable harness that routes into the battery tray area, in between 2 aircon pipes. Its a large sensor on the rad that seems to snag on this harness. It got too dark before I could work out how to work around it so just wondered if anyone else has had this issue?
My thoughts are to lift the car and take off the stone guard underneath to give me access to see how I can get past the problem (Haynes simply says "lift out the radiator - but to be fair, so does TIS 2000).
Thanks Pat

Lift it up about 6" and unplug the sensor - it will come out then :y

As said...you will be able to simply lift the radiotor straight out...but only once everything is unplugged...you think you have got everything and you find another thing plugged in...one is plugged in down near the bottom of the radiator I think from memory...
