gearbox removal
« on: 22 September 2008, 10:57:54 »

The haynes manual tells you to take the down pipes off it looks to me that there is enough room to leave them on or is the removal for access to a bolt at the top of the bell housing?

Good question, we removed mine after a good plus gas first. I think it would have been very, awkward without.

Take care to unplug all the wiring loom parts. four plugs on the gearbox and then one for each of the exhaust Lamda sensors. As you drop the rear of the gearbox down pull off the gearbox breather pipe. It is on top of the rear of the gearbox. warm it with some hot water or similar to get it back on if it is stubborn
