trim or seal?
« on: 11 October 2008, 14:51:27 »

I need a trim that goes on top of the sill. Dont know whether it is a trim or a seal. This trim/seal is black and soft(suspect it is a seal)
it is the part that goes along the sill between bottom of doors on the passenger side of my estate. It was taken off by previous owner and never refitted. Is it a trim or is it a seal? Can anybody tell me if they are still available from vauxhall and what price they are?
ARH1 :-?

There are various members who break cars that are likely to able to help .... a picture of where it lives or a picture of the other side would probably help.  :y

unfort camera bust.
but lives under plastic kick plate sits on top of sill. runs from back edge of front wing to start of rear wheelarch. level with and the legnth of bottom of front and rear doors.
seems to be a softened rubber seal, square and is held on with rivet/pin type clips. this seal is pushed onto clips
only way I can descibe it

I know the bit you mean no, I need to lift mine at the back & show the area some smooth Hammerite. :-?
I would think you need to find a scrappy local to you. Trim like that can be bl00dy expensive if you buy from Vauxhall. Unless a 'breaker' from here can help. ::)  :y
