When my HBV went the symptoms I got were steam coming through the drivers side scuttle.

I've got a leak just like yours now but in my case I know that it is the metal water pipe that goes into the back of the engine. The bottom bell housing is wet. When I did my exhaust manifold I thought I would be clever and not remove the oil pipes that obstruct one of the screws, and so this screw is not tight enough and hence the leak! A job for later this week.
