Hi all ,
My drivers side headlight aims a little low compared to the passenger side . The adjuster next to the light switch works and both beams go up and down the same , however i would like to raise the drivers side slightly so they are both the same .
Which of the manual adjusters raises the hight ?

I cant remember which one.

But, drive upto a wall or garage door (to within a few cms') with a flat piece of drive or ground in front (it needs to be flat, not level). Turn the lights on and set the level on the dial to 0 and open the bonnet.

Now put two small pieces of tape on the two bright spots in the centre of the beam pattern just where it starts to kick up.

Reverse back 2-3 meters  and now re-adjust the headlight aim so the bright spot is just below (1cm ish) your two marks.

Works every time and passes the MOT

Count the turns - if you get the wrong one just turn it back - no harm done.

MarksDTM is right though - much easier to find a wall and a flat surface. Taking a volunteer with you to stand in front of the 'good' light will make it bleedin' obvious which adjuster you are on.

think the rear allen screw of the 3 alters the light horizontally and front two (the ones in the pic at the front) adjust vertically, it's the outer one you need to adjust

Ooops ... i thought there was only 2 screws .... i'll have to look again for a third .  I never looked closely enough

lol dont worry about the third, i believe for reference its on the underside of the unit at the back.
if you really want me to check then i will as i have some units in the garage haha!

Outer adjuster adjusts height...inner adjuster adjusts left and right...

There is no 3rd adjuster at the rear as the Haynes book of lies says and as said it is the outer adjuster for horizontal and i believe it's clockwise for up .

   That book is mainly useless, it's bad enough trying to find some things as it is, let alone trying to find stuff they say is there and isn't .

lol..maybe they should rename it.. the haynes book of "the stuff thats on our project car that we found but we wish you luck finding it on yours" or "information was correct for our vehicle" lol!!!!

maybe they just get wiring diagrams from the dealer and have a poke about and maybe take a strut off doors off maybe?
