hey this is my first post on here
ive got a 2.5 v6 omega an r reg an its been loosin water for a little while
i fort it was the head gasket first of all cos showed al the signs boiling over over pressureising water going milky foamy but the oil stayed clean as a whistle ive even add all the sump off to check
ive compression tested the cyl an im getting 10 bar on each so i dont think its the head also
ive read some post about oil cooler ??? could this be me problems

an another thing there was water drippin down the side of the gear box coming from somewhere i ave no clue

any ideas ??? i dont wana scrap it iver  :o

oil cooler, and probably hbv, all covered in maintenance section. :y

Heater Bypass Valve ..   :)

The bit that turns the hot water to the matrix on for heat and off for cool .. :)

yes my hbv died at 117k simple to replace part is £35 on tradeclub  if its the hbv it will leak from the rear of the engine and myn left a water trail from where it went when the heater was on!

DON'T LET THIS PROBLEM GO.

A very slow leak, from a pipe leading to the HBV cost me over £400 for the damage the small leak caused.
