Did you route it out of the cable tray correctly, and not put it at the rear of the engine...?

Be careful though, and don't become confused, as on my 2.5V6 there is a spare plug floating around at  the back of the passenger side of the plenium. ::) ::) ::)

As for the ICV plug you haven't trapped it under the cam cover? :-?

there's a cable wrapped in some kind of insulation that run's along the side of the wiring box and plugs into the rear? and a very short connector at the rear that is loose?

I'm guessing the one with the insulation on, goes into the back of the IVC and the short one goes into the connection at the back of the engine (Top of passenger side)

The one that is loose is, I think, the spare I am talking of.  The ICV connector should be right up under the ICV itself coming out of the cable tray. :y

The one under icv was plugged into the rear. Swapped them and hey presto all works. Loads of smoke but I'm guessing that's al the oil burning off from changing the gaskets. Thanks for all the help .
