Did they put metal trim in facelift doors ?

Greetings,
On the search for a new wing mirror, and found this on Ebay. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=190168807419&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT&ih=009 I phoned him up and he said its off a '51, but it doesn't look the same as mine. Anyone know if they put metal trim strips on the doors of facelifts ?

That looks like its of an early Omega (None facelift) the mirror even looks curved

Hi EP,
thanks for that, yes the door surround looks curved whereas mine is flat. He insists its a '51 tho !. Ah well, back to the search.

I think your right about the trim as well, the facelift is all plastic :y

Maybe it was an early model that has been lying around for a couple of years before registration. Thanks EP for the tip, unfortunately he has sold out. He was very respectable on price, he wanted £30 plus VAT plus £10 post. Another bloke of Ebay wants £60 plus £10 post  :-X :-X :-X

I was there a few weeks ago and they were breaking a Monaro which had had a front end smash :'(
