I have recently had a MAF problem on my v6 2.5 omega. I was wondering if the connector itself is faulty, are there any wires in the connector that are prone to fail?

Is there a way to tell. I have had the usual 73, 74 codes and i am awaiting a replacement, however any tips on this little bugger would be appreciated.

Disconnect the multi-plug and with the ignition OFF test the supply voltage with an avo meter accross terminals 1&3, should be same as battery i.e.12v

To check the supply to the MAF you have to leave the multi-plug connected and access terminals 2&4, with the engine idling you should get a reading of 0.5-1.5v.
