Well, first things first, what is your temperature gauge reading? :-?

If the thermostat is stuck open then the engine will take much longer to heat up and possibly wont heat up at all. This is easy to spot by watching the engine temp gauge (which in the US is probably marked in some ancient adn mystical fahrenhiet type reading)

The temp. is reading drops from less than half down to around 2 increments above freezing. (if that makes any sense).

Does it maintain a fairly constant temp or is it all over the place?

Do you get heat if the car is left stationary for 10 mins or so?

Yes, if I let it be for a few minutes I get a brief hit of warm air then it's back to freezing.  The gauge isn't all over, rather, it raises a few increments when I let it idle for a while.  Once I start driving again it dips back down right near the "C".

Thank all of you for your wisdom!

Sounds like the thermostat is stuck open, and therefore not allowing the engine to warm up unless your sat still.

Been a V6, Its a right pain to get to, and not a 5 min job! As all the inlet plenums have to come off :(

PS: You need to sort your avatar pic out mate, its MASSIVE!  ;D
