electric windows
« on: 21 December 2008, 11:48:06 »

Hi,wonder if anyone could help with annoying problem with my car(98 3.0 elite).Electric windows sometime dont work or work very slowly. Then they will be fine then just go again. When they dont work,if you press interior light switch on drivers a post, they work! Have replaced this but no luck.Have read in haynes manual that car has electric window cutout switch(if something in way of window going up?) Anyone know where this switch is to replace? Or anyone know of anything else it could be.This affects all the windows at once.Have also noticed that little lights on window switches go off then windows dont work and these lights also stay on at night when they didnt used to.
Have had 4 omegas and never had this before.Any help would be much appreiciated. Thanks!

Sounds to me like your getting a power drain from somewhere, have you checked all the connections for corrosion or broken wires :question.

TheBoy, just for your info. he does say affects all windows at once :y.
