AFAIK there is no direct link between TC and gearbox/engine performance in sports mode or normal mode

All TC will do is to limit the power IF, and only IF, it detects wheel spin. It does nowt else IMHO

lol like entwood says it doesnt give you more power... buut to be a turd then it will give more power than sport mode when the tc is kicking in to stop the back end going flying sideways as it tends to on the autos when you boot it going slow and it goes into first and spins the inside wheel like something gone wrong (im guessing thats how it happens as i dont have and auto v6 that runs :P )

i think it's just somebody not very knoledgeable saying it because sport mode makes the gear changes more aggressive or seemed to in my 2.0

TC makes no difference to performance until the ABS ECU detects more than a set level of wheel slip. Then it falls on its' @rse. ;D

When mine gets its' knickers in a twist over something as silly as a wheelspin it's like Thor himself has thrown one of his hammers at the block. Subtle it ain't :D

In sports mode the gearbox ecu allows the gearchanging to be longer than not in sports mode.
