The price of ABS parts!!
« on: 04 January 2009, 16:25:10 »

Afternoon all
I posted this in the wrong forum I think so here it is again
After doing some research this morning I came across ECU-testing.com looking further at their e-bay site I found a reconditioned abs pump and module for £100 plus £8.9 p&p with a 2 year guarantee. seems pretty reasonable to me considering new ecu's are £280 + any thoughts or dealings with these people? I would be interested in feedback. Thanks :) ;)

I sold them my knackered ABS ECU - they paid up promptly.  Good communication throughout :y

If they are the place in Nottingham area then likewise, sent off a couple of old ECU's and got a cheque by return, very easy to deal with :)

Are you sure it's the pump and the ECU not just the ECU? They usually repair your ECU which you send to them for initial testing to see if it can be repaired. I used these people about 4 months ago on Marks DTMs advice, they are only 15 minutes drive from me. I have to say in my opinion they were excellent. They repaired my ECU in less than 24 hours and I collected it. This cost £100 all in as they had an offer on ebay. Normal price was £100 + VAT. Be warned though that if they cannot repair your own they will charge you for testing it and for returning it if you want it back. I would call them and discuss your requirements to check you have the price and details correct. There are 2 or 3 girls on phones and despatch and a couple of guys who do the testing and repairs from what I could tell.
I did post all the details but I cant find the post as there is something wrong with the historical listings at the moment.
