Car cutting out
« on: 04 February 2009, 11:46:52 »

Was wondering if anyone can help. My omega keeps cutting out just after I start it up. It tries to stabilise the revs when its started and then cuts out, it used to do this once in a while but with the cold it seems to do it nearly everyday, after the third attempt it starts no problems.

No fault codes found with my "My Naff Code Reader" and no ECU light, I can't see what the problem is, can anyone help?

Thanks

Would this cleaning involve carb cleaner and then a tiny drop of oil for lubrication?

yep, once every couple of months on my old omega, should have replaced it really. Not suggesting you should though. Dont be tempted to open the valve with a screw driver like some idiot did on mine   ::)  it can damage the leading edge.
