Sorry Guys another Cranks Sensor Question!!
« on: 04 February 2009, 19:55:01 »

Well finally got my crank sensor changed :) took it to garage in the end that deals with Vauxhalls! thing is the engine management light still shows when the other lights have gone out, and only goes out when the engine starts, always use to go out with the other warning lights before start up!!! also the code is still in the ECU 0335, after I have done the pedal trick.  Now the question is, does this reset it self after X amount of turns on the ignition (like my old BMER did!!?) or do I have to take it back to have the codes reset?? or worse have I still got a problem!!?
Thanks in advance.

That's how it should be :y

Going out before starting would worry me :-?

And finally the codes are stored until a certain amount of starts :y

Does disconnecting the Battery for a period of time get rid of the codes!!! and if so apart from having to re enter the radio codes will it affect anything else!!! Ta

Should do, or leave it and wait until you have done a trouble free number of starts. 20 i think? Maybe 30, cant remember. If you do dis con the battery,
Have radio and any cd changes codes to hand.
Reset one touch window function. Hold the button in the up position for 3 seconds when closed.
Reset sunroof, press the dial in/up in open position first, then closed, then tilt. Hth
