heated seat just burnt hole in seat

In facelifts there is a stats, not in prefacelifts.

If its burnt a hole, the pad has failed.

thanks tb so would putting a new seat in fix problem

Yup. Make sure its from same era of car, ie prefacelift, mini facelift, or full facelift.
