loss of acceleration

hi all can anyone answer my question on starting my omega tonight the engine light came on and had no acceleration so had to crawl home has anyone any clues as to why this happened and what it could be causeing this to happen ive read a couple of threads regarding sensors and this suggests the knock sensor is this the problem ime having any help please

Need to now what engine and year your car is.

Also will need to look at what fault code has been stored.

Sounds like the cam sensor, you need to get the fault codes read.

2.2 needs to be plugged into a code reader - that is your first port of call.
