My external driver door latch is failing. Took two or three attempts to open the door this morning.

Can prob whip the door card of myself but what am I likely to find? Repairable or will I need a new latch?

You mean you have to pull the handle really hard to open the car?
Mine was like that till I just gave it all a good lub'ing. I removed the door card & used chain lub on anything on the lock mechanism that moved  :y & haven't had a problem since.  ;)

Don't have to pull particulally hard, just deosn't seem to engage sometimes. I think may just be something not quite catching when it should.

Will certainly give it a coat of oil regardless.

Watch out for random opening....my old CDX had a similar problem sometimes it wouldnt open without a bit of fiddling and tugging on the handle. Then one day the door just flew open as I was going around a roundabout ! I thought I just handt closed it properly so pulled it shut. Was ok the rest of the day but next day it did it again.

Needed a new lock as it wasnt latching.
