Hi! Seems there are lots of problems with Omega keys. Mine is two button, which we find a 'nuisance' when coming back from shopping, having to undo the car and pressing the dash one. This is worse because I use a 3 wheeled walker. Does it really cost approx: £50 plus to get a new 3 button key and programmed, complete?? Am wondering whether to do that, to save us the inconvieniance ?? Was even thinking of changing this car and had a 'look' at a smaller 5 door today -- Untilwe was told the part exchange allowed was £250 ? Who was kidding who, made us wonder ?? Yes!!  We walked away! So can you tell me just how much each new complete 3 button key, would cost, allin and programmed. Thank you .
Is yours estate? They are 2 button.  Only facelift saloons are 3 button fobs.

I got a full key from ebay,£23,now i dont know if its one of the ones that wont re-programme to mine or not...i will eventually try and programme it to mine but can i get the blade cut for mine and use it as is?
As in,just use the actual key to open doors and de-activate the alarm by the ignition? or am i missing the point somewhere? ;D

Effectively its just a key like the old type laser key.... :y

Hello The Boy, Sorry I did not state my omega is a saloon car. I was given two, two button keys, when I bought the car, not knowing it needed three buttons for Boot opening. Can anyone supply, a new complete key, fully programmed and working as it should and what would be the total cost.  Can you also tell me, what is a car pass and what is it used for ??  Thank you.

cheapest way is to get correct bliper (from vx for 35 sobs for a 3 button) and take it, car and car pass to see The Boy on here. If he has blade and transponder he can do the rest. Then take key to a lock smith to be cut.
Car pass holds car security numbers, key, radio, cd changer codes etc. From vx only if lost afaik.
