Right... Slight update!

Yesterday had a chance and conditions where I could safely stretch the legs and test limits of the new rear springs. Bearing in mind I live in the sticks so roads aren't fantastic at this time of year so were a bit muddy and slippery but...

I can say with absolute confidence that the standard saloon springs haven't affected my handling in any bad way... The back feels very slightly more sure footed (I think) but nothing really noticeable :y :y :y

Fitted model-specific Kilen coils on mine at £70 plus vat for the pair.
No issues or complaints!

Don't think you've got self levelling suspension though :-/ :-/ :-? :-?

We're trying to determine the effects of fitting standard road springs with s/l shocks :y :y :y

You're correct, no S/L on mine, but fitted with Monroe ride-levellers.

Just had mine done. Had basic aftermarket springs fitted. £61.56+tax for a pair. £60 labour, though he did rear pads and a few other checks too. Customer service at Phillip Welch, spot on as usual.

I'm a pretty steady driver and don't do many miles so I didn't see the point in spending more than I need to.  Besides, I need to save my money for Elite Pete & Loo knee's beer fund this weekend. :P

Mark,
Will have to look into this, like I said, never felt that Ive been done by them before but youve certainly given me food for thought!! :( >:(.Was there when he was on the phone to his supplier, so maybe he was being done too? Whatever, from what you say, seems I have been robbed of my hard earned. Will have to make better use of the knowledge and advice to be found on here first before I spend in the future!!
