external temperature sensor problem !!!

further update on external temp problem , i have chcked all wires i can see and easily  get to and found no problem from external sensor ( which is new ) through to multiplug in wheel arch . car has been into vauxhall main dealer today and still no joy multifunction display still reads F 0C and now some bulbs in display don't work , main dealers say they will need car for 2 days  just to find a broken wire, they are crap and bloody expensive.
  Any ideas will be greatly received , regards mike >:(

Shame you're so far from me - we could have gone through it looking at tech2 live data...
