Central locking
« on: 21 February 2009, 18:19:32 »

Is it just me or is anyione else having problems with the central locking  :question, Both front doors on mine have been playing up .
The drivers side only opening or closing if it felt like it , the passenger side only locking on the second press of the button (deadlock) the other day they both stopped .
Today I have taken the drivers side one out and cleaned it all up and put some oil on the bits ists all back in and working again for now .Looks like I will have to do the same for the passenger side tomorrow  >:(

Fairly common i think. Mine has struggled to get out of bed on the odd morning, both front doors, seems to coincide with week battery and the odd alarm burst on start up. Re charged the battery and the all is well, but i cant see how battery voltage would make one door lock sleepy? Must be coincidence. Time will tell. :-)

During the cold weather my drivers door was sticking and holding the catch open with door open pressed the remote to lock, the lock then releases and door holds on the catch.
think it must be the grease since the temp has risen no probs

the motors are probably getting a bit lazy, the cold seems to make it worse for some reason
