fault codes help
« on: 13 March 2009, 16:35:38 »

Hi my omega has the fault light flash on and off when it feels like it, I have another post but no one is replying, I have the code and it says there is a problem with (1612 which points to immobiliser No or wrong signal immobiliser)  any ideas what this means.

Just a thought though the light comes on when I push the excelerator down faster than normal, so if you are driving and slowly excelerate the a high speed its ok but if you excelerate fast to a high speed the fault light comes on, something else I have noticed while trying to work out the problem, I pushed the speed right up, 70 or 80 miles an hour there seems the be a almost wind type noise coming from the back, could it be one of the exhaust boxes near the back, although there isnt a rumbling noise they usually make when blown, maybe the inner baffle, has gone, not sure, is it called baffle ?. its funny the fault light comes on when excelerating hard, I wouldnt have thought this would have been related to the immobiliser ?   unless that code is when checking, I have removed the inner alarm from the front under bonnet that sounds if you remove the batttery. Any ideas thanks :-/

I have just been out in the car again, it seems to come on and off now when it wants, not related now to speed.  but it did initially start when I went a little faster on the way to work ?
