Yes I did it with the engine off as you cant start the engine and then go to position II on the ignition with the engine running(it turns your engine off)

Im gonna try thee paper clip tommorow and see if that works if not then bugger it it can stay on

If it's a 2.5 you need to do the paperclip test. Pedal trick is for 2.6/3.2s. :y

are you absaloutly sure that everything is plugge din, i forgot the idle valve plug once and started cursing until i did the paper clip test and it came up with idle valve, i didn't half feel like a dick

 when you put all the sensors back together was your battery connected ????
   if so dis-connect your battery and re plug the connectors back in , then connect your battery ....

  this happened to me when i forgot to put the lamba sensor in  the eml light came on ,once done the above light went out

just read all your latest threads and i feel like a right plonker yes it did say 2.6 but it was a mistake it is a 2.5 and yes the battery was connected when i plugged everything back in so ill disconnect the battery unplug every thing and then try it all again THANKS TO ALL you are stars  :y :y :y
