Your calcs are wrong

Omega tank is 15.86 gallons (72 litres in real money at 4.55 litres to the gallon - UK).

420 miles to the tank (assuming its dry) gives 26.5mpg.....very close to teh mid value (and probably on the nose given the tank wont be empty)

Not according to Mr Haynes or Vauxhall Page 228 They both state 75 litres (=16.5 gall)  :y
